After all.....it was a great summer!!

After this past winter ( I rebuke you snow and -0 temps) I wasn't so sure that we, Chicagoan's would have a warm summer. However, after a few complaints and a lot of cold starts, we finally had a few warm days. I remember stating in the winter, for "summer vacay this year, we definitely have to go where it's hot" and doggone it, I made sure of that lol!!
This summer, well every summer, Miss "T" always spends her summer vacation in Arizona with family. So, the Mister and I  decided, heck we may as well go to, and we did. We took ourselves to Arizona and Texas this year and boy I don't regret it at all!!! I didn't even care that we were dead smack in the desert in 110 degree temps or that it was 120 degrees and the sun was beaming on our heads in our pedal boat when we were stuck in the middle of the lake while it was 120 degrees in Arizona.  It just felt good to get away and enjoy some heat and R&R.
I'm really late posting but just for the sake of a viewing pleasure here are a few photos. PICTURE HEAVY!!!

These are the Texas but I'll post the Arizona pic's later:-)
We went to the Reunion Tower and got some awesome photo's of Dallas, Texas. I couldn't post them all but it sure seems like I did ;-)

Wait, so anybody watch the First 48? Now isn't this familiar???  Yes, this is the police station where they film in Dallas

Here's the plaza where JFK was shot..where

Oh, and for my soap opera heads.... Remember the original TV show,  "Dallas"? YAaaasss to that amazing music at the start of the credits!! lol
Here's the ranch in Southfork, Texas where the filming took place for the outside of the ranch/mansion. (Did you notice I said outside, yes because they really filmed the inside in Hollywood.. what a disappointment). It was still cool though, we saw the car "J.R.( Larry Hagman) drove and Bobby's ( Patrick Duffy) room. Now they did say "some" scenes were still filmed there such as when J.R. got shot.. Do you see it below?  And Lucy's wedding dress as well as J.R.'s spotless Lincoln Continental! ( lol Yup, that Stank'n Lank'n)

We were waiting on the tractor to pick us up and take us to the mansion. Miss "T" just had to get this one in of me.

We also came across some good eating spots such as this one below. We had some excellent New Orleans food at a place called Razoos!

Miss "T" out having fun!!

She had so much fun she leaped for Joy!! lol

I love this picture! Miss "T" was staying for one more day in Texas before her and my sister headed off and back to Arizona. After saying our goodbyes, I snapped this picture of them before they left us at the hotel. I love how they're matching coincidentally.

Until Next time Holla!!
